Waterheaterrescue.com has been on the web for about 23 years. It comprises almost 400 pages in three languages and has more information about water heaters than anything else on the Internet. It also includes a forum that's been on the web for close to two decades that has more than 4,000 topics and nearly 20,000 posts on the subject. This site is run by me, Randy Schuyler of Water Heater Rescue. I have also written and presented nationally about water heater issues.
Although they have no financial interest in the business, it would be unthinkable not to mention Larry and Suzanne Weingarten. They have had a profound influence on me and my development as someone knowledgeable about water heater matters, as well as giving invaluable support and guidance in the early years when I didn't know as much as I thought I did.
The Weingartens wrote the book on water heater maintenance, the Water Heater Workbook, as well as numerous articles that have appeared in magazines and trade journals. They have achieved recognition as experts in water heating problem-solving and heater longevity.
Larry Weingarten, with 40 years of plumbing experience, has proved that with proper care, such tanks can last decades beyond the typical "unmaintained" life span.
Water Heater Rescue is based in Nacogdoches, TX, and strives to provide a solid source of information on water heater maintenance and safety, as well as offering parts for sale.
Water Heater Rescue strictly adheres to an online/e-mail business model. I usually ship orders and answer questions within one business day, and will tell you if I'm out of something.
By the way, I thought you should know that Water Heater Rescue in Vancouver, Canada (www.waterheaterrescue.ca) is a plumbing company local to that area and has absolutely no affiliation with my Water Heater Rescue. I'm interested in making water heaters last longer. Most plumbers are interested in replacing them.
