the pressure goes from 55 to up to 130. gets lower once someone uses it. We have town water–no problem with other 5 bldgs on property. we were told since this is a closed system and the pressure reducing valve and thermo expansion tank were both changed twice. The town of Fishkill water dept engineer came at our request and suggested removing a check valve We have exhausted all possibilities we can think of. Does anyone have any info for resolving this? This has been going on for 2 weeks.

Hello: A little sleuthing is called for. To start, try temporarily putting a pressure gauge right next to the expansion tank. It would be good to know if the tank really “sees” the high pressure. To work properly, the expansion tank needs to be pumped up to match the line pressure downstream of the regulator. Do let us know what you find! 😉

    Yours, Larry
