Can’t find a part # to get a new one to replace it. Anyone know? Oh, it’s a Richmond 8MV40-2 D. Ice broke hot water pipe, so I cut off the water to the house and didn’t cut off the breaker to the water heater. So it was real busy cookin’ air and now doesn’t work. But I can’t find a part # to see if it’s available locally or if I have to order one. Thanks.

Hello: Elements are pretty standardized with screw in, 4500 watt being the norm. They are available in high watt density or low watt density (which looks sorta like a folded paper-clip). It should be a standard hardware store item. I’d take the old one it to match it up. Stay warm!

    Yours, Larry
