    :X Installing a new Bradford White RG240T6N.
Made all connections and was about to fire the piezo switch when water started running out from various spots on the tank. I think i did not tighten the T&P valve enough and once i filled the tank with water it leaked from the T&P connection and went inside the outer tank shell soaking the insulation until it could hold no more water and it began to pour out of just about everywhere possible!
Needless to say I did not try and light the pilot and instead i drained the tank and am hoping for some miracle to dry things out enough to fire the burner.
I am looking for advice from somebody who may have had a similar experience and i want to know if i should go ahead and try to light the pilot anyhow???
Any DANGER in trying to light it and hope it drys everything out?
I am worried that i know own a very expensive pile of scrap metal!

Hello: Did the control stay dry? If so, I’d fire it up and get it drying things out right away. This gives you the best chance at stopping rust on the outside of the unit. If the control got wet… well, just let us know 😕

    Yours Larry
