I’m getting more than a little frustrated by new boiler whose pilot light is continually going out. As a result the boiler does not fire up and we are left with no heating or hot water.

Anybody have any ideas what the most probably cause of this could be?

If it’s really brand new, I’d call the person who installed it, or the company that made it and say, “Fix it.” That’s what warranties are all about

Beyond that, it could be anything from an equipment problem, like a bad thermocouple on a gas heater, to venting problems.

Hello: Just in case you don’t know about it, “The Wall” at heatinghelp.com is THE place for questions about boilers, radiant, hot water and steam heat. Discussion there sometimes ranges far wider. Nice people and good info! With luck, “The Tank” will become its domestic hot water counterpart.

    Yours, Larry
