I hear a sound like running water coming from the tank.It lasts about 15 minutes every hour. What causes this,I never had it with the old one.

Water is probably running somewhere. The question is where and why. Can you see where the T&P valve drain line comes out? Meaning, does it go into a drain or outside on the sidewalk. Something that occurs to me is that some pressure issue might be causing the valve to open. Other possibilities are dishwasher and washing machine valves. These are just guesses, but water heaters don’t make sounds like that on their own.

Hello: Try feeling the inlet pipe of the water heater when no hot water has been used in the house for a while. It should feel warm. If it’s cold, there is a leak in the system someplace. This leak can make the heater kick on, trying to catch up with heating the water that’s running through. Please do let us know what you find 😉
