for a week the water in my kitchen sink has been just above a trickle-esp. the hot water. In my master bath, my tub and sink have been drips for a long time. My other bathroom sink and shower seem to be ok. I found in some paper work that my hot water heater was nearing the end of its “life expectancy”. I have a Kenmore Power miser 5. Serial # E 90352053 Model # 153.314420. Do I need a new water heater or is it something else?

Hello: If any hot water fixtures in the house work correctly, the flow restriction is in the plumbing, not the heater. That’s good news 😎 For starters, try removing aerators and running water. If things are good, it’s simply dirty aerators. One question… is there a hot water recirculation line?

    Yours, Larry
