    Would it be acceptable to insulate the nipple, coupling, and CerAnode head? The water heater is set to about 130° F. I wouldn’t want to shorten the life of the CerAnode.

    That’s OK as long as you are able to see the very top of the hex nut, so that if the LED goes out, you can notice it. That amount of heat won’t hurt anything.

    BTW: Installed easily, no problems, no leaks. On the instructions, thanks for mentioning the gap in the insulation near the hex nut. Cheers -Jim
