The Bradford White dual outlet heater served well for fifteen years before the tank began leaking. This is a 65gal dual outlet; top outlets are traditional domestic. Side outlets serve the radiant heat in a sun room floor.

The current BW model with which I’d replace it is Bradford White M-2-XR65T6FBN. Even though BW supposedly doesn’t sell to DIY, there are a couple of on-line sellers which offer them for $1200 delivered.

Since BW there’s been a lot of flack about the new valve/lighter failures and warranty problems; that BW doesn’t sell to DIY, the warranty through an on-line seller might be a fight into which I wouldn’t want to get.

What’s the best alternative? Not looking for lowest initial cost, just longest life and most efficient.

Hi: I think I’d ask the on-line sellers about warranty and what they can do for you. I’d also call Bradford White http://www.bradfordwhite.com/warranty 800.523.2931 and ask them directly how they would treat you. 🙂

    Yours, Larry
