I’m sorry. Apparently, I didn’t make myself clear before. My Plumber says he has stopped trying to replace combo anodes because it is to difficult and causes much damage. That is why now when he installs a new anode, aluminum or magnesium, he installs them in the Relief Valve port and moves the Relief Valve to the side of the tank. He says because the original combo anode is impact wrenched in place and corrodes, it’s not worth trying to remove.
