The Tank Point of use WH suggestions Reply To: Point of use WH suggestions

Hello, What do you imagine is the greatest number of gallons you will use at the sink in an hour? All heaters come with a “first hour rating”. or “recovery at 90 degree rise”. You can use that to decide how big a tank you’ll want. For example all of Bradford’s electric utility heaters can heat seven gallons per hour in addition to the stored capacity, so a ten gallon heater can give you close to 17 gallons tin an hour. Note that if you draw the water quickly, you’ll only get 70-75% of the volume of the tank as undiluted hot water, so in worst case you’ll only get about 14 gallons from the heater in an hour. 😉
