My plumber wants to use stainless mesh type flex lines (mesh over rubber). He swears by what he says is a newer improved one that he called RhinoFlex. Web search does not turn up the right thing.
I was planning on using flex copper. I am planning on forming inverted U heat traps and mesh is certainly more flexible, but reliability is more important to me than installation convenience.
A case could be made that since I am only 0.5 miles from the Hayward fault the extra flexibility of the mesh type would be beneficial. How long do they last and what are the failure modes compared to copper flex?
