Trying to figure out the actual amperage load of this water heater in both operating modes. It says in the manual to have a 30A branch circuit and that the load specs are on the label on the front of the water heater (which I of course don’t have at this point). I’d like to know it for the GE as well as the Rheem, if anyone can look and tell me.

Hi Ken,

Tonight, I was doing some planned maintenance on my GE Hybrid water heater since I have owned it now for 6 months. (More on that in my next post). But I took a look at the info on the unit label. This is what I saw. Some of this you may not need:

WATTAGE
Upper: 4500/3380 W
Lower: 4500/3380 W
Compressor: 700 W

Max Total Wattage at Any Time: 4550 W

Minimum Operating Volts: 177 VAC

Hope this helps,
Bryan
