Metters Viceroy tankless water heater, from 1925

This heater was made in Melbourne, Australia, around 1925. It had the same sort of interlocking controls as bath heaters dating from the turn of the 20th century, designed to prevent the burner from running if not water was flowing through it.

However, this appliance had a valve that would direct water either to the spout or to a showerhead. It also has a nice glass enamel finish.
