This site is a collaborative effort by Randy Schuyler of Water Heater Rescue, and Larry and Suzanne Weingarten.

The Weingartens wrote the book on water heater maintenance, the Water Heater Workbook, as well as numerous articles that have appeared in magazines and trade journals. They have achieved recognition as experts in water heating problem-solving and heater longevity.

Larry Weingarten, with 40 years of plumbing experience, has proved that with proper care, such tanks can last decades beyond the typical "unmaintained" life span.

Water Heater Rescue is based in Marina, Calif. It is unique. There might be some plumbers knowledgeable enough to do the same work, but they're usually too busy doing plumbing.

Schuyler is an inspector, and also provides parts, service and knowledge on how to make apartment water heaters last far beyond their typical lives. He also writes articles on safety and other issues of interest to the industry.
