According to
Gary Klein, hot water is where it's at, or rather, where all the
energy use is at. He says so much energy is expended obtaining water,
heating it and distributing it that it is one of the most important
factors in creating an energy-efficient building. He examines all
the variables in hot-water use, diagrams plumbing layouts, looks
at people's needs, and at patterns of use, and then tries to show
how to create a system that will solve all the problems.
Here is his
contribution to the plenary session of the Hot Water Forum.
